Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture

Elie Saab sent down the runway a collection with romantic shapes, & color palettes. Those are pale, nude or beige, rose, mustard, and a few gowns of red. It was trendy by using lots of flowers, and nudes. A lot of beautiful embroidery, and hand-woven lace, layers of sheer fabrics. Sparkly, romantic, and chic. The end result being just beautiful.

Chanel Spring 2011 Couture

Hello, there snow queens. Different fabrics, and textures. The classic tweed jackets and bow were there just the right amount of times, lots of  airy shapes, with fishscale designed fabrics. I love the always present palettes at Chanel, pinks, pales,a few navy colors, black, and white of course.
The over all effect of the luminosity in its delicacy and sparkle beautiful, dreamy colors, and textures (even though most pieces were not even fabrics, but embroidery), made this collection light, and lovely.

Christian Dior Spring 2011 Couture

John Galliano's inspiration for this marvelous collection was Rene Gruau . The mannered posture of the gloved hands was frozen letting you know that this is a sophisticated, glam woman. Bold lips, 50's parisian silhouettes at first, then more retro. I loved the swirling fan-pleat circle skirts.Beautiful hues of pink, lemon, violet, and pastel blues were faded and shaded in with overlays of stocking-colored tulle, swirled up into flower-form bustiers, and let out again into multilayered skirts.
I will always love what Christian Dior has to offer for the couture shows. Always exceptional, unique, and beautiful.
